Volunteer Opportunities

There are many ways to get involved as a volunteer at The Aldrich:
- Admissions/Visitor Services: Be a host for the Museum by welcoming
visitors and providing basic information about the Museum, membership,
exhibitions, and upcoming events.
- Community Outreach: Be a community liaison between The Aldrich and
the community by promoting the Museum at local events or collaborating
with staff to organize volunteer, membership, and audience development
programs for the Museum.
- Docent Program: Be a Museum docent by guiding tours for both
children and adults. Docents are selected by the education department and
complete a specialized course of study. The education department
administers its own application process.
- Education Programs: Be an educational helper, assisting in hands-on
art activities at our nationally-recognized education programs for
children, adults, and families.
- General Office Support: Be an office helper by providing office
support in various departments, involving preparing mailings,
photocopying, data entry, word processing, and research.
- Special Events: Be a greeter at special events, welcoming guests,
setting up, taking down, and serving refreshments.
