VIP guests arrived early to attend a reception with artists and curators as the event gained momentum. The Museum quickly filled with patrons who enjoyed delicious cocktails and cuisine, took part in the raffle of three contemporary art collections, and were entertained by the theatrics of a live auction by Christie’s.
Over 350 guests attended and the Museum exceeded its goal of raising $150,000. The fundraiser involved a great party where Allison and Stuart Meyler of Ridgefield, Christopher Mahan of New York City, and Kathleen O’Grady of Westport won valuable contemporary art collections and nine guests walked away with one-of-a-kind art experiences following the auction.
Museum director Harry Philbrick comments, "I would like to extend my most sincere thank you to everyone who supported The Aldrich Experience and the Museum throughout the year. It is a particular pleasure to acknowledge the artists for their generosity and support, which enables us to continue presenting significant contemporary art exhibitions and outstanding innovative museum education programs."
