Development Intern
Spring 2012 Semester
Spring Intern Responsibilities:
- Research: utilizing Foundation Center's new location in town to find sources of funding for the operational budget and programs. Development includes foundations, corporate and government support
- Special project: conduct research and assist as necessary with upcoming fiftieth anniversary planning.
- Mailings: including monthly membership renewals to lapsed members and prospective member outreach to targeted groups. This is an ongoing program.
- Donor filing system: reconfigure, update and maintain donor files tracking membership, major gifts, and events information.
- Database entry: enter and update constituents' profiles in Raisers Edge System, including developing new donor lists. Entry work performed on an ongoing basis.
- Gift recognition: convey appreciation to members and supporters on an ongoing weekly basis via personal telephone calls.
- On-site membership sales
- Assisting the development team as needed
Qualifications:
- Available 2 to 3 days/20 hours per week
- Creative and outgoing
- Able to work independently
- Comfortable working with and communicating with diverse groups of people
- Interested in building support for Arts organizations
